I am a former Council member of 20 plus years, and current mayor.  Married 37 years to Rena (neé Schmidt), 2 sons: Dan and Matt Jr. (Butch).  Dan is married to Ashley (rip) and they have 2 children: Jacob and, Katelyn.  This makes us a proud grandma and grandpa.  All of us were born, raised, and have lived in Shakopee.  Our parents also reside in Shakopee.  Matt and Rena owned a small downtown business "Arc Automotive" for 17 years.  I have been active in our community over the past 35 years.  (See Community Involvement)
